Transport

With over 3,000 people moving in and out of the campus, it is inevitable that traffic jams will occur during peak hours. The College guards direct traffic to help prevent congestion and so we ask that parents and students comply with their requests. For security reasons, parents are requested to show their UWCSEA parent photo ID badge to the guards when driving onto the campus.

Dover Road is a busy and dangerous road, especially at peak periods. All students crossing Dover Road to get to and from the school drive must do so at the lights. Jaywalking is an offence in Singapore. There have been a small number of accidents involving students who have ignored this safety guideline.

Buses

A transport company buses students to and from the College every school day. Modern, air-conditioned buses with seat belts arrive before 8:05am in the morning and leave the College campus at 3:15pm and 4:35pm (for those participating in after-school activities) each day. The buses serve most areas of Singapore.

The Transport Office organizes the School Bus Service. For further information or the answers to questions, please contact the Bus Office (68723213) or busesuwc@uwcsea.edu.sg.

Students are allowed to sign up for a one way or two way service but it should be understood that preference will be given to two way applications. The minimum period that a student is allowed to sign up for the service is one half of a term. Periods of one week or similar will not be entertained.

Cars

  • After arriving at school (between 7:50am and 8:00am), Students can remain in the play ground area until 8:05am.
  • Students arriving by car should alight at the designated drop-off point .
  • Parents are encouraged to carpool - go to: https://webapps.uwcsea.edu.sg/carshare

Car Park
Car parking can be a problem however if the main car parks are full for the morning drop off parents may use the right hand side of the bus bay from 7.40am to 8.30am. On rainy days the bus bay is used by the PE dept so it is very important that parents move their cars by the above time.
